Prelude Music Foundation Featured on ABC 13 Houston

More than 2,000 kids will enjoy their first orchestral and choir concert for free, thanks to the Prelude Music Foundation. The organization says music helps children be happy and develop in unique ways.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have met with Briana Conner and the team at ABC13 Houston to share the work that brings us so much joy—bringing the power of music to PreK and Kindergarten children across Houston!

In just a few weeks, on April 8th & 9th, 2025 at 11:00 AM, we’ll be making music with over 2,000 children at Miller Outdoor Theatre for My First Orchestral Concert with members of the Houston Symphony, Apollo Chamber Players, and Mercury Chamber Orchestra.

This FREE event, sponsored in part by the City of Houston through the Miller Theatre Advisory Board, is designed to bring the Houston community together and spark joy, wonder, and connection through the power of live music!
